7 Intended use

The parking aid is intended to monitor the space around vehicles when maneuvering.
The parking aid provides an audible and visible warning signal for any obstacle it detects:
• MWE9104: Behind the vehicle (rear system).
• MWE9104F: In front of the vehicle (front system).
The parking aid is suitable for installation in commercial vehicles (e.g. passenger cars and recreational vehicles).
The control electronics and the loudspeaker are suitable for indoor use only.
This product is only suitable for the intended purpose and application in accordance with these instructions.
This manual provides information that is necessary for proper installation and/or operation of the product. Poor in-
stallation and/or improper operating or maintenance will result in unsatisfactory performance and a possible failure.
The manufacturer accepts no liability for any injury or damage to the product resulting from:
• Incorrect assembly or connection, including excess voltage
• Incorrect maintenance or use of spare parts other than original spare parts provided by the manufacturer
• Alterations to the product without express permission from the manufacturer
• Use for purposes other than those described in this manual

8 Technical description

MWE9104: The parking aid can be installed as a rear warning system.
MWE9104F: The parking aid can be installed as a front warning system.
The parking aid is based on ultrasound.
Detection range
The detection range of the parking aid is divided into several zones.
Each zone detects obstacles at a certain distance from the sensors and can be recognized by an individual sequence
of the signal tone.

• Observe that objects may lie in the blind spot of the sensors or may not be detected due to their na-
ture or small size.
