INTAKE/EXHAUST SYSTEM
Inspect the exhaust system components *†
Check the exhaust gas condition. If the
exhaust is blue or black, contact your local
distributor/dealer
Clean/replace the air filter element *
Clean the exhaust/water mixing elbow *†
Inspect the crankcase breather system *†
Check the breather pipe for obstructions *†
Check and clean the rubber intake air hose

Replace the intake manifold hose *†
Inspect the complete exhaust system *†
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Keep the battery charged and in good
condition §
Check and tighten the electrical
connections *
Check the battery charging alternator belt
tension *
Clean the battery cables †
Check the starter motor †
Check the battery charging alternator †
ENGINE AND MOUNTING
Check for water, fuel, coolant, and oil

Retighten any loose nuts and bolts *
Check the mounting bolts/vibromounts and
tighten if necessary *
Adjust the intake/exhaust valve clearance

Check the compartment condition (fuel, oil,
or water leaks)
