SD32X (yellow), inside the barrier box - se figures below.
Connecting Central Unit to Barrier
1. The central unit and the barrier are connected with a 2 meter
long hybrid cable. This cable consists of two optical fibres and
one standard twisted pair for the low voltage power. This
cable is connected to the bottom of the barrier box when
delivered (when an ATEX version of the LDS 6 is used).
2. Connect the hybrid cable to the central unit using the stan-
dard procedure.
For illustrations and further instructions on this set-up, see
"Appendices" on page 25.

2.2.2 ATEX Transmitter and Receiver Sensors

A hybrid cable is used to connect the transmitter sensor to the
barrier.
Connecting Transmitter Sensor to Barrier
1. Cut off the pre mounted phoenix contact at the end of the
hybrid at the barrier side.
2. Insert the hybrid cables (one for each channel) through the
openings at the top of the barrier box. Fasten each cable with
a gasket.
3. Connect each hybrid cable to the Surge Protection Device
SD32X (yellow). - (brown cable) shall be connected to inlet
number 4 and + (green cable) to inlet number 5.
4. Connect the hybrid cable to the transmitter sensor, use the
standard procedure described in "Installation of Transmitter
Sensor" on page 9.
