Update TM FAST application

Depending on the intended use, in principle you have the following options for loading a
TM FAST application into the technology module:
During the development of the TM FAST application.
For development and commissioning purposes, you can use the hardware components Intel
FPGA Download Cable (USB blaster) and TM FAST Debug Connector (Page 43) as an interface
between a PC and module. The TM FAST Debug Connector is inserted into the module
enclosure from above here. You use the external Intel® Quartus® Prime software to load the
TM FAST application directly into the FPGA via the two hardware components.
Standard usage
You do not need LTMFAST instructions with the following procedure:
1. Load once the desired TM FAST application into the flash memory of the module. for
example, with the commissioning editor in the TIA Portal (Page 26) or with MFCT
(https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/109773881).
2. In the hardware configuration of the module, activate the parameters "Load TM FAST
application during startup" and "Always activate TM FAST application".
In this case, it is recommended to keep at least one module in stock as a spare part, where
the required TM FAST application has already been loaded. The module can then be replaced
without PC/PG. Otherwise, if it becomes necessary to exchange the module, you must load
the required TM FAST application into the flash memory of the new module using a PC/PG.
Applications with automated loading of the TM FAST application
You can see from the application when the system starts up whether the module contains the
required TM FAST application. If needed, you can update the TM FAST application in the RUN
state of the CPU. You can find additional information in section LTMFAST_AppDownload:
Load TM FAST application into the flash memory (Page 38).
If you store the TM FAST application in an upd file on the SIMATIC Memory Card, it can easily
be replaced by an updated version. If you store the TM FAST application in a data block, this
makes it easier to back up the project, because no special handling is necessary for the
backup of the TM FAST application as part of the project. Only load memory is used in both
cases. The data memory of the CPU is not affected by this.
