Telephone operation

Make, answer or end a call

Using the handset:
To make a call:
• Press , , or , then enter the telephone number.
To predial a call:
• Enter the telephone number, then press
To answer a call:
• Press , , or to answer.
• Press (speakerphone) picks the first available line, starting with line 1.
Line 1 is selected first when both lines are in use or on hold.
• The screen shows the elapsed time as you talk (in hours, minutes
and seconds).
• When predialing (preview numbers before dialing), press OFF on the
handset to backspace and delete; press and hold
handset to insert a dialing pause (a p appears).
To end a call:
• Press OFF or return the handset to the telephone base to hang up.

• Press LINE 1 or LINE 2, then enter the telephone number.
To predial a call:
• Enter the telephone number, then press LINE 1 or LINE 2.
To answer a call:
• Press LINE 1 or LINE 2 to answer.
• The screen shows the elapsed time as you talk (in hours, minutes
and seconds).
• When predialing (preview numbers before dialing), press CANCEL on the
telephone base to backspace and delete; press the PAUSE softkey on the
telephone base to insert a dialing pause (a p appears).
To end a call:
• Press LINE 1 or LINE 2.
