Section 4 – Software
4.1
Software Overview
The OS100-Soft application enables you to communicate with your
OS100E Series transmitter on a PC using serial communication. The
application has the following capabilities:
• Real-time display of temperature reading.
• Data acquisition and plotting of real-time data.
• Saving acquired data in comma separated values (csv) or tab format for
easy importation into spreadsheet programs.
• Data analysis function.
• Printing of graph and data.

Hardware Hookup
Wire the OS100E unit to the PC as shown in section 3.7, and table 4-1.
4.3
Software Installation
4.3.1 System Requirements
Minimum System Requirements
The following are the minimum recommended system requirements:
• Windows 98/ME, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista,
Operating System.
• Available serial port or USB to serial port adapter.
• 26 MB Ram
• 280 MB available hard drive space.
Recommended System Configuration
The following system configuration is recommended:
