4.3 Installing in an Extension unit box
5. Screw the mounting screw (torque xx Nm).
The mounting screw snaps into in a nut on the mounting plate and fixes the device firmly to
the mounting plate.
In this position, the following components are still accessible:
– Electrical ports
– Connector for power supply
– Serial interface
– RESET button
– Slot for C-PLUG
6. Fit the connectors for the power supply, see the section "Wiring rules (Page 47)".
7. Insert the terminal blocks into the sockets on the device.
8. Close the rear cover of the Extension Unit box.
9. Tighten the screws of the rear panel cover (torque 1.5 Nm).
Removal
To remove the device from a DIN rail, follow these steps:
1. Remove the rear panel of the Extension Unit box.
2. Disconnect all connected cables.
3. Loosen the mounting screw.
The device is no longer fixed to the mounting plate.
4. Pull the device out of the Extension Unit box.
5. Remove the mounting plate.
6. Close the rear cover of the Extension Unit box.
