Buttons and Controls

a Selector
Rotate to change the operating channel.
b Status indicator
Refer to the "LED INDICATOR STATUS" {p. 13}.
c Power switch/ Volume control
Turn clockwise to switch ON the transceiver. To switch OFF the transceiver,
turn counterclockwise until a click sounds. Rotate to adjust the volume level.
d [ S ], [ A ], [ <B ], and [ C> ] buttons
[ S ] button (Scan)
Press this button to start Channel scanning {p. 16}.
[ A ] button (Low transmit power)
Press this button to change the transmit power between high (5 W) and low
(1 W) {p. 12}.
[ <B ] button (OST)
Press this button to turn the OST (Operator Selectable Tone) function ON and
OFF {p. 14}.
Press and hold this button for 1 second to enter the OST setup mode {p. 14}.
[ C> ] button (Button Lock)
Press and hold this button to lock the transceiver buttons and Selector. Press
and hold the button again to unlock the buttons and Selector {p. 12}.
