4-7. Fan Motor Replacement
When the SYSTEM indicator of the front panel flashes in
red and the indicator of the fan motor unit flashes or turns
off, replace the corresponding fan motor unit.
The fan motor unit can be replaced during the power on.
4-7-1. Checking the Defective Fan Motor
Unit
When Using the BZSR-2000 Trial Version
Supplied in the VSR-2000
For more details, refer to the Operation Manual of the
BZSR-2000.
1. Start up the BZSR-2000.
2. When the fan is abnormal, a fan error icon of the
hardware error icon appears on the top left of the menu
screen.
3. Confirm the fan motor unit whose indicator flashes or
lights off and replace it.
How to Check the Fan Motor Unit without
Stopping Operation of the System When
Operated Applications Other Than BZSR-2000
Check the fan motor unit from the front EXT-232C
connector using the terminal software of personal comput-
er.

Connect the front EXT-232C connector of the VSR-2000
to a personal computer (COM1 or COM2) using the RS-
232C cross cable (D-sub 9-pin) available commercially.

1. Select [2 : DPC CPU (SY-283)] using the front
Service Port selector switch of the VSR-2000.
2. Activate the terminal software of personal computer
(HyperTerminal or others in case of Windows) setting
as shown above.
3. Press the [ENTER] key and confirm that "DPC>" is
displayed on the screen of the terminal software.
Checking the FAN Status
1. Enter "SYSTEM" and press the [ENTER] key.
2. Confirm that the following message is displayed.
