When the needle bar (1) comes to the lowest position, make
sure that the base line (a) of the needle bar (1) coincides with
the lower end of the needle bar metal (2) as shown in the figure.
1. Turn the sewing machine pulley and set the needle bar (1)
to the lowest position.
2. Remove the rubber stopper (3) on the face plate.
3. Loosen the screw (4) and adjust the needle bar (1) by
moving it up and down.
4. Tighten the screw (4) securely.
5. Attach the rubber stopper (3).
1. Turn on the power.
2. Set the feed pitch to 5mm. (Panel-set for S-7180A)
Approx.
*When the feed dog (1) is moved down from the uppermost
position and coincides with the top surface of the needle plate
(2), the needle tip is at the standard position as shown in the
figure on the left.
3. Remove the side panels.
4. Loosen the set screws (4) [2 pcs.] of the eccentric wheel
and adjust by turning the eccentric wheel (3) slightly.
・ To advance the needle timing, turn in the direction of
<A>. To delay the needle timing, turn in the direction
of <B>.
・ Delay the timing of the needle to prevent fabric
misalignment (eventually sewing). ([B] diagram)
・ Timing of the needle is advance to improve thread
tightness. ([A] diagram)
[Precaution]
Turning the eccentric wheel (3) too far in the direction of
<A> may cause needle breakage.
5. After adjustment, tighten the set screw (4) securely.
6. Replace the side panels.
