How to setup the warning/error output

Pin 2 acts as a built-in switch in the Communication Unit. Pin 2 can be used to provide
an external signal that indicates active warning/error condition(s). You can configure
pin 2 to be active ground or active open.
1. Referring to section 6.1, login as an Administrator.
2. Click [Admin] in the menu bar.
3. Click [Discrete I/O Settings] to show the [Discrete I/O Settings] menu.
4. Put a [ ] in the box on the left side of [Enabled] (click the box to add [ ]) in the
[Alarm] field to activate alarm function.
To deactivate this function, uncheck the [ ] in the box (click the box to delete [ ]).
5. Select from [Active open] or [Active ground] in the [Alarm] field.
[Active open]: The internal switch at pin 2 is normally open (no connection to
ground). When an alarm occurs, the switch is closed (connected to ground).
Theswitch is opened again when all warnings/errors are cleared.
[Active ground]: The internal switch at pin 2 is normally closed (pin 2 is connected
to ground). When an alarm occurs, the switch opens (no connection to ground).
The switch is closed again when all warnings/errors are cleared.
6. Click the [Apply] button.
The message "Applied." appears.
7. Click the [Close] button to close the message.
