6. Place the belt slip lever in the START/STOP
(disengaged) position. See Figure 22.

7. Slowly pull the starter grip (Figure 23) until resistance
is felt, then pull briskly and smoothly to start the engine.
Gently return the starter grip to its original position.

8. Once the engine has started, the emergency stop
switch should be tested for proper operation. Push the
emergency stop switch (Figure 24) and observe that
the engine has stopped.

9. After verifying that the emergency stop switch is
working correctly, repeat the engine starting procedure
to begin mixing.
