Cause of Engine Stop

0 No cause happened.
1 The hood is open
The "ENGINE START STOP" Button is
turned ON.
2 The shift lever is placed in other than "P"
The immobilizer cannot be cancelled.
Engine speed goes up.
A door is open.

The brake is pressed.
Car speed is detected.
Item to check
-
1. The hood is open.
2. The hood switch itself is broken(Check HOOD using
the wiring harness checks on page 33).
3. Check the connections for H and I connectors on
the wiring diagram on page 33.
4. Check proper connection and signal is reaching Pin
A8 on the wiring diagram?
1. Make sure "ENGINE START STOP" button is off.
2. Failure of the push-start signal system.
1. The shift lever is placed in other than "P".
2. Failure of the shift position signal system.
1. Is SES registered?
2. The Smart ECU may have a problem.
1. Accelerator is pressed.
2. Abnormality of the revolutions signal system.
1. A door is open.
2. Tailgate is open.
3. Failure of the courtesy signal system.
1. The brake pedal is pressed.
2. Failure of the brake lights signal system.
1. The car is moving.
2. Failure of the vehicle speed signal system.
