5. If you have not already set up a Windows Live Mail
account (see "Setting Up Windows Live Mail" on
page 165), the first time you sign in to Windows Live
Messenger, press Accept
6. If prompted, enter your Hotmail email address
and password.
7. To send an instant message to a contact who is
online, highlight the contact name and press
Send IM

8. Do any of the following:
Enter text: Highlight the text entry bar and enter your message text.
Record a voice note: Press Voice clip
speaking clearly with your Treo held up and facing you.
Add an emoticon to your message: Press Menu
emoticon, and then select the emoticon you want.
Add a picture or other file: Press Menu

If the contact you want is offline, send an email message instead. Highlight
