Using M enu For Detailed Adjustment
This camcorder is equipped with an easy-to-use,
on-screen menu system that simplifies many of the more
detailed camcorder settings.
ACCESS MEN U SCREEN
Turn the Select Dial to any position except AUTO

LOCK, then press the MENU J og Dial. The Menu
Screen appears.
SELECT FUN CTIO N
Rotate the MENU J og Dial to place the highlight bar

on the desired function.
• When the highlight bar reaches the bottom of
Menu Screen 1, Menu Screen 2 is automatically
displayed. When the highlight bar reaches the top
of Menu Screen 2, Menu Screen 1 is automatically
displayed.
• If the setting you want can't be found in the Menu
Screen, place the highlight bar on " MENU END" ,
then go to step 5 .
MAKE SETTIN G
Press the MENU J og Dial. The setting menu of the

selected function appears. The setting procedure
depends on the function you select.
If you select "FO CU S", "EXPO SU RE", or
"DATE/ TIM E" . . .

EXPOSURE:
If you select "JLIP ID N O ." . . .
.... press the MENU J og Dial so that the number
blinks, then rotate it until the desired number
appears, and press it. Then rotate the MENU J og
Dial to move the highlight bar to " EXIT" .
If you select any other functions . . .
.... rotate the MENU J og Dial to move the highlight
bar to the desired setting.
• If you decide you want to return to the
previous setting, rotate the MENU J og Dial to
move the highlight bar to " EXIT" .
EN D SETTIN G
Press the MENU J og Dial. The Menu Screen

reappears and the highlight bar is on " MENU END" .
CLO SE MEN U
Press the MENU J og Dial. The normal screen

reappears.
N O TE:
The menu function except " FOCUS" and " EXPOSURE"
are not available while in the Record mode.
