Note and retain the IP address and subnet mask you assign the VCX V7111. Do
the same when completing the User Name and Password fields (see
3Com Embedded Web
unavailable (for example, if you have lost your user name and password), use the
BootP/TFTP Server to access the device, reload the software in memory, and
reset the password (see the VCX V7111 User's Manual for detailed information
on using a BootP/TFTP server to access the device).

Restoring Your PC's IP Address / Subnet Mask

After setting the VCX V7111 IP address/subnet mask, restore your PC's IP address and
subnet mask to its original value. If necessary, restart your PC and re-access the
VCX V7111 using the embedded web server with the new IP address to provision it.

Provisioning Control Protocol Parameters

Provision your VCX V7111 control protocol basic parameters in the Quick Setup screen: SIP
(Figure 16). Your device's factory-configured control protocol determines which control
protocol parameters are displayed in the Quick Setup screen:
