Instructions for placing the
printer
Observe the following when setting up the printer:
O Choose a flat and stable location that can support
the printer weight (about 135.1 kg for Epson Stylus
Pro 9900/9910 and 100.9 kg for Epson Stylus Pro
7900/7910).
O Use only an outlet that meets the power
requirements of this printer.
O Leave enough room for easy operation,
maintenance, and ventilation.
See "Choosing a place for the printer" in the
Unpacking and Setup Guide
O Operate the printer under the following conditions
(temperature is 10 to 35°C and humidity is 20 to
80%).
Even when the conditions above are met, you may not
print properly if the environmental conditions are not
proper for the paper. Be sure to use the printer where
the paper conditions are met. See the handling
instructions of the paper for more detailed
information. Keep the printer away from drying, direct
sunlight, or heat sources to maintain the appropriate
humidity.

Notes for when you are not
using the printer
The print head nozzles are very small, thus, they can
become clogged easily if dust gets on the print head. To
avoid this, close the roll paper cover or the front cover
when you are not using the printer. If you are not using
the printer for a long time, put a non-static cloth on the
printer to avoid getting dust on the printer.

Instructions for using paper

Notes for handling paper
See the instructions below and the handling
instructions of the paper for more details.
O Use Epson special media under the following
conditions (temperature is 15 to 25°C and
humidity is 40 to 60%).
O Do not bend the paper or scratch on the surface of
the paper.
O Keep fingers off the printable surface of the media,
as fingerprints may reduce the print quality.
O Set the roll paper by handling the edges of the roll
paper. Whenever possible, use gloves to handle
media.
O The paper may bend if the temperature and
humidity will change rapidly. Be careful not to
bend or soil the paper, and flatten it before setting
it in the printer.
