Modifying the protocol on a T1 voice card

Modify protocol in a T1 voice card to determine characteristics and number
of channels to be recorded. The T1 card (primarily used in North America)
can contain up to 24 channels (48 channels for the DP6409 model). See also
"E1/T1 card properties" on page 99 for more information on trunks and
protocols.
To modify the protocol on a T1 card:
1 In the Recorder Manager with a T1 voice card selected choose General
Setup > Voice Cards > Card and under Trunk choose a protocol
according to the following:

Description
Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN)
is a signaling variant used with the T1 or E1
that reserves a single data channel on each
multiplexed line for signaling information.
DASS 2 is a predecessor of ISDN used with
T1 lines.
Channel Associated Signaling/Robbed Bit
Signaling is a signalling variant used with the
T1 or E1 that reserves a single data channel
on each multiplexed line for signaling
information.
This is a variant of ISDN used with T1 where
a single D-channel is used to service up to 10
x T1 lines.
