NauticaRS 5.016R Anomalies

119136-D Rev. 00
This chapter describes known router software anomalies in
NauticaRS 5.016R and, where applicable, suggests workarounds.
Bay Networks plans to resolve these known anomalies in a future
release.
1.
The Nautica Wizard Installation Assistant does not run on
early Windows 95 sytems with the original comctl32
dynamic link library. A new version of the DLL, such as that
supplied with Microsoft Office, is required for Installation
Assistant to run. Alternatively, the user can use the One Step
function and the Advanced menu to configure the router.
2.
If you are running Nautica Wizard from the Bay Networks
Nautica CD, you must close the application before removing
the CD-ROM from your drive.
3.
In Australia, the Nautica 200 is only approved on ETSI ISDN
lines; it is not approved on (and does not work on) older
TS013 lines.
4.
When you first unpack your Nautica router it may be cold,
starting the router when it is cold can cause the router to fail
due to condensation on the pins inside the router. To prevent
this happening, do not start the router until it reaches room
temperature.
5.
Point to Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP) over V.120 is not
supported in this release.
