4-2. Adjustment Method

4-2-1. Preparations for Adjustment

1. Setting switches
. Set the all DIP switches on the rear panel of the
camera to the left position (OFF, NORM).
(SSC-DC310P)
. Set a DIP switch on highest of the rear panel of the
camera to the right position (LL), set the other DIP
switches on them to the left position (OFF, NORM).
(SSC-DC314/DC318P)
. Slide the sliding switch (HOLD) in the upper part of
the commander to the right side.
. Set the sliding switches on the relay tool as follows.
SSC-DC314 ......................... NTSC, HI, ADJ
SSC-DC310P/DC318P ........ PAL, HI, ADJ
2. Connecting the Commander
. Use a relay tools (CN103) to connect the command-
er to the connector (CN301) on the MB board so that
the relay tools will have Pin 1 (white) coincide with
Pin 1 (on the front panel side) of the connector.
3. Turn on the camera.

4-2-2. Writing in Initial Data

Normally, initial data writing is performed automatically,
if necessary.
But, it also can perform the following method.
1. Press the START/STOP button in the upper part of the
commander.
2. The numerals indicated on the LCD of the commander
will go out for a few seconds and then will reappear.

In this stage, if the commander's LCD display remains
out and cannot be restored, there is an abnormality
somewhere in the circuitry. Do not proceed to adjust-
ment without correcting the abnormality.
If writing in initial data has been performed, be
sure to confirming data as follows. (SSC-DC314)
1. Press the MODE DISPLAY CHANGE button on the
commander.
2. The numerals indicated on the LCD of the commander
will go out for a few seconds and then will reappear.
3. Press the MODE DISPLAY CHANGE button on the
commander to display Mode "09". Subsequently, press
the CHANGE DATA button to display Data "53".
4. In the same procedure as above Step 3, press the
MODE DISPLAY CHANGE button on the command-
er, mode indicator displays "C5". Subsequently, press
the CHANGE DATA button, data indicator displays
"03".
5. Press the DATA write button of the commander.
6. The numerals indicated on the LCD of the commander
will disappear for a few seconds and then mode
indicator "00" will reappear.
