A cutting attachment consists of the chain, guide bar and
chain sprocket.

– The pitch (t) of the chain (1), must match the pitch of the
chain sprocket.
– The drive link gauge (2) of the chain must match the
groove width of the guide bar (3).

14.4 Mounting the Harness Clip

► Switch off the pole pruner, @ 16.2.
► Remove the battery, @ 15.2.

► Press the harness clip (1) together and place it on the
front handle (2).

14.5 Mounting the Machine Support

► Switch off the pole pruner, @ 16.2.
► Remove the battery, @ 15.2.

► Position the left half of the machine support (1) against the
side of the motor housing.
► Insert screw (2).
► Position the right half of the machine support (3) against
the side of the motor housing.
► Insert screw (5).
► Insert and tighten screws (4).
► Tighten screws (2) and (5).
14.6 Mounting and Removing the Guide Bar and

Make sure the battery is removed before starting assembly.
Never operate your pole pruner without a properly mounted
guide bar and chain, @ 6.5. Use only guide bar and chain
combinations expressly recommended or approved by
STIHL, @ 6.4.
The chain has many sharp cutters. If they contact your flesh,
they will cut you, even if the chain is not moving, @ 6.4.
Always wear heavy-duty work gloves when mounting or
otherwise handling the chain, @ 6.3.
