Shut Down the Equipment

This equipment stays pressurized until pressure is
manually relieved. To help prevent serious injury from
pressurized fluid, such as splashing fluid and moving
parts, follow the Pressure Relief Procedure when
you shut down the equipment.
At the end of each work shift, follow Pressure Relief
Procedure, page 9.
Flush the equipment if necessary. See Flushing and
Storage, page 11.

Flushing and Storage

To avoid fire and explosion, always ground
equipment and waste container. To avoid static
sparking and injury from splashing fluid, always flush
at the lowest possible pressure.
Flush before changing fluid materials, before fluid
can dry or freeze in the equipment, at the end of the
day, before storing, and before repairing equipment.
Flush at the lowest pressure possible. Check and
tighten all fluid connections. Replace worn or
damaged parts as needed.
Flush with a solvent that is compatible with the fluid
being dispensed and the equipment wetted parts.
Flushing schedule will vary based on particular
uses.
