Application 1: Safety mode SIL3/Cat.3/PLd

Wiring
You perform the wiring on the appropriate terminal block. You can find additional information
on this in section "Pin assignment of the F-DI 16x24VDC HA I/O module (Page 15)".
Sensor supply
The sensor supply can be powered internally or externally.
Wiring diagram – connecting one sensor via one channel
One 1-channel sensor (1oo1 evaluation) is connected per process signal. A sensor supply of the
module is assigned to each input.

You can also supply the sensor by means of an external sensor supply.

Requirement for sensor
To achieve SIL3/Cat.3/PLd using this wiring, you must use a qualified sensor.
