Remote access

Your phone lets you check your
messages, or otherwise operate your
answering machine, by calling the
answering machine when you are away
from home and then dialling a 4-digit
remote access PIN from a tone-dialling
phone. The 4-digit remote access PIN
code is used to prevent other people
from unauthorised access of your
answering machine.
Make sure that Remote Access is turned
on (see Turn on/off remote access
section) and then you can ring your
phone from another tone-dialling
phone to switch the answering machine
on or off, and/or listen to your messages
remotely.
Access
your
remotely:
1. Place a call from a tone-dialling
phone to your phone.
2. When
the

playing.
3. Enter the 4-digit Remote Access PIN
(default PIN is 0000). You will hear a
single confirmation beep if the PIN
is accepted, and you then need to
press 5 to start playing any messages.
