IPMI V1.5 BIOS Features

Th is set up screen appears only when the mBMC chip (for Server
Management) is integrated on the mainboard.
PEF Confi gurati on S tatus
This option shows the current Platform Event Filter (PEF) configuration status.

Setting PEF Configurati on
This setting is used to set the Platform Event Filter (PEF) configuration. When
[Enabled ] is selected, t he server will send the event signal to the BM C. Set-
ting options: Enabled, Disabled.
BMC Event Log
Select [En abled] to st ore POST error or initial mess ages t o the BMC Ev ent
log . If you don 't want t o st ore POST erro r or initial mess ages to the DMI
Event lo g, select [Disabled]. When [Cleared] is selected, the BMC event log
will be cleared at next POST stage. Setting options: Disabled, Enabled, Cleared.
WatchDog TimeOut Acti on
The Watch Dog Timer (WDT) is a special hardware device t o monitor if the
computer system works normally. If t he sy stem d oes n ot work normally, it
will have some measures to fix up the system. The following actions are avail-

able on expiratio n of the Watch dog Timer: No Acti on, Hard Reset , Po wer
Down, Power Cycle.
WatchDog Timer Counter
This feature allows users to set t he time in terval to reboot th e computer if a
timeout event occurs. Setting options: 10 Sec, 20 Sec, 30 Sec, 40 Sec.
