Technical description
5.1
The hybrid cable
The hybrid cable is constructed for very harsh environments and consists of two optical fibers,
one for transmission of the laser light to the measurement volume (single-mode fiber) and one
for the return of the detected signal (multi-mode fiber). Two twisted electrical wires are used for
powering the electronics in the optics housing (24 VDC).

The sensor connection cable
The sensor connection cable connects the transmitter optics housing to the receiver optics
housing. This cable is a hybrid cable that does not contain the single-mode fiber.
