Does the Cable/DSL Voice Enabler support any operating system other than
Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows 2000, or Windows NT? Yes,
but Linksys does not, at this time, provide technical support for setup, con-
figuration or troubleshooting of any non-Windows operating systems.
If all else fails in the installation, what can I do? Reset the Voice Enabler by
holding down the reset button for at least three seconds. Obtain and flash
the latest firmware release that is readily available on Linksys website,
www.linksys.com.
How will I be notified of new firmware upgrades? All Linksys firmware
upgrades are posted on the Linksys website at www.linksys.com, where
they can be downloaded for free. The Voice Enabler's firmware can be
upgraded with FTP programs, or from the Help page on the Voice Enabler's
Web-based Utility.
Will the Voice Enabler function in a Macintosh environment? Yes, but the Voice
Enabler's setup pages are accessible only through Internet Explorer v4.0 or
Netscape Navigator v4.0 or higher for Macintosh.
I am not able to get the web configuration screen for the Voice Enabler. What
can I do? You may have to remove the proxy settings on your Internet
browser, e.g., Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer. Or remove the dial-
up settings on your browser. Check with your browser documentation.
Why do I get interference on the line? Check to see if you have connected the

standard telephone cable from the back of the Router to the wall plate. (See
figure below.) The RJ-ll jack on the back of the Router is only made for a
standard analog telephone.
