    Chapter 1: Product Overvew Introduction Thank you for choosing the Linksys 5-Port or 8-Port 10/100/1000 Gigabit Switch . The Switch provides non-blocking, wire speed switching for your 10, 100, and 1000 Mbps network clients . The 5-Port and 8-Port 10/100/1000 Gigabit Switches differ in number of LEDs and ports .

    The Ethernet network ports are located on the back panel of the Switch . All ports are auto-negotiating and have automatic MDI/MDI-X crossover detection . 1- These ports (1, 2, 3, 4) connect the Switch to network devices, such as computers . Side Panels The power port and security slot are located on the side panels of the Switch .
