IP Video Interface (NMI) Boards

This section describes the overview of service provided by the web menu of the following IP video interface boards.
• XKS-C9111N
• XKS-C9121N
• XKS-Q8111
• XKS-Q8166
• XKS-T8110
• XKS-T8165

Updating the Firmware

Note
• XKS-Q8111/Q8166/T8110/T8165
Update the firmware in units of NeptuneII ASIC (LAN1-1, LAN2-1, LAN3-1, and LAN4-1).
Perform updating four times per board including unused ports.
• XKS-C9111N/C9121N
Update the firmware only once using any LAN. Perform updating one time per board.
Update is enabled on any LAN.
Update is enabled on either main side or sub side of the redundant network system.
• Main side: LAN1-1/1, LAN1-1/2, LAN1-1/3, LAN1-1/4
• Sub side: LAN1-2/1, LAN1-2/2, LAN1-2/3, LAN1-2/4
Equipment required
• Personal computer (PC): A PC that can be connected to the IP Video Interface board through a network and supports
the following recommended web browsers.
Recommended web browsers
- Internet Explorer 8 or later
- Google Chrome 43.0 or later
- Firefox 35.0.1 or later
• A USB flash memory (commercially available, 1GB or more recommended)
Data file for update
• XKS-C9111N/XKS-C9121N: "XVS-C9111N_XKS-C9121N_X.XX.zip" (X.XX means the version number)
• XKS-T8110/XKS-T8165: "XVS-NET28_X.XX.encrypted.web.zip"(X.XX means the version number)
• XKS-Q8111: "XVS-Q8111_X.XX.encrypted.web.zip"(X.XX means the version number)
• XKS-Q8166: "XVS-Q8166_X.XX.encrypted.web.zip"(X.XX means the version number)
Note
For obtaining the latest data file for update, contact your local Sony Sales Office/Service Center.
Preparation
1. Copy the data file for update to a USB memory device.
Note
Use the data file for update without extracting it.
2. Disabling (Stop All Stream) the unit by using the IP Live System Manager.
To learn how to disabling (Stop All Stream) the unit, refer to Help of IP Live System Manager.
Procedure
1. Connect the USB memory to the USB connector of the PC.
2. Run the web browser on the PC.
3. Type "https://(IP address of update target device)"on the address bar, and then press the Enter key.
