Supplementary Restraints System
E152533
The side airbags are designed to inflate
between the door panel and the occupant
to enhance the protection in certain
crashes.
The airbag is designed to deploy during a
significant lateral crash. It might also
deploy during a significant frontal crash.
The airbag is not designed to deploy during
a minor lateral or frontal crash, rear crash
or a vehicle rollover.

DRIVER KNEE AIRBAG

WARNING
Do not attempt to open the airbag
cover.
The airbag will deploy during significant
frontal and near frontal collisions that are
up to 30° from the left or the right. The
airbag will inflate within a few thousandths
of a second and deflate on contact with
the occupants, thus providing a cushion
between the driver's knees and the steering
column. During overturns, rear collisions
and side collisions, the knee airbag will not
deploy.
Note: The airbag has a lower deployment
threshold than the front airbags. During a
minor collision, it is possible that only the
knee airbag will deploy.

E75004

significant lateral or frontal angled crash.

a minor lateral and frontal crash, rear crash
or a vehicle rollover.
