8.1 Diagnostics
Reader LED display
The operational states of the reader are displayed by two LEDs. The LEDs can adopt the colors
white green, red, yellow or blue and the states off , on , flashing :

Diagnostics via SNMP

Using SNMP, you have extensive diagnostics options for the network functions of the reader.
The following diagnostics options (MIBs) are supported by the readers:
• automationSimaticNet.mib
• automationSnSystem.mib

• IEC-62439.mib
• IP.mib
• LLDP-EXT-DOT1.mib
• LLDP-EXT-DOT3.mib

Shows the operating states via the operation LED display
LEDs
Meaning
The reader is turned off.
The reader is turned on and is searching for transponders.
The reader is in the "Setup" mode, in the "Search for transponders" status and has not
yet received a "RESET" command and is not ready.

readers of the second generation" in the "SIMATIC RF300
(https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/ps/15003/man)" system manual.
There is a transponder in the antenna field.
The reader is in the "Setup" mode, in the status "Show quality", has not yet received a
"RESET" command and is not ready.
Depending on the signal strength, the LED flickers or is lit permanently.
The reader has received a "RESET" command.
The reader is turned on, the antenna is turned off.
Operating mode "with presence": Transponder present
Operating mode "without presence": Transponder present and command currently
being executed
There is an error. The number of flashes provides information about the current error.

(Page 83)".
