Cleaning the Media Feed Roller

Turn off the printer, unplug the power cord, and disconnect USB cable
before cleaning. Wait until the fusing section cools down (about 1 hour).

Grab the front cover grip and
open the front cover.

Pull the handle of the imaging
cartridge toward you, and then
pull out the imaging cartridge.
Note
Position the removed imaging cartridge
as shown in the illustration at the right.
Be sure to keep the drum cartridge
horizontal and place it where it will not
become dirty.
Do not leave the drum cartridge
removed for more than 15 minutes, and
do not place the removed drum cartridge
in a location where it would be exposed
to direct light (such as sunlight).
