4 Target group
The electrical installation and setup of the device must be performed by a qual-
ified electrician who has demonstrated skill and knowledge related to the con-
struction and operation of electrical equipment and installations, and who is
familiar with the applicable regulations of the country in which the equipment
is to be installed and/or used, and has received safety training to identify and
avoid the hazards involved.
All other actions are intended also for non-professional users.

5 Intended use

The solar charge controller is a 24, 36, or 48 V photovoltaic (PV) charge controller rated for a solar current input of
12 A. The controller protects the battery from being overcharged by the solar energy.
The controller is suitable for use with lead acid (flooded, gel, or AGM type) and LiFePO4 batteries.
The controller is only intended for use in systems where the solar voltage input is less than the battery voltage. The
controller converts a lower solar input voltage into a higher battery charging voltage.
The device is intended to be installed on transport trucks, delivery vehicles, work trucks and heavy duty equipment.
The controller is built to withstand being used in harsh industrial conditions.
This product is only suitable for the intended purpose and application in accordance with these instructions.
This manual provides information that is necessary for proper installation and/or operation of the product. Poor
installation and/or improper operating or maintenance will result in unsatisfactory performance and a possible fail-
ure.
The manufacturer accepts no liability for any injury or damage to the product resulting from:
• Incorrect assembly or connection, including excess voltage
• Incorrect maintenance or use of spare parts other than original spare parts provided by the manufacturer
• Alterations to the product without express permission from the manufacturer
• Use for purposes other than those described in this manual

6 Technical description

The device is an Industrial Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) controller featuring a robust, fully-sealed housing
that resists vibration as well as dust-, insect- and water ingress. The controller is equipped with 3 LEDs to display
the operating status. In normal operation, the controller shows the connection and charging status, and the battery
state of charge.
The device has the following features:
• Accepts up to 400 W of solar power
• Waterproof protection with MC4 solar connections and Delphi battery connections
• 3-stage I/U curve sweep algorithm increases battery lifespan
• Anodized aluminum extrusion with built-in heat dissipation
• Fully encapsulated design prevents damage from water, corrosion, insects and/or dust
• Works with 24, 36 or 48V battery systems (automatic battery voltage detection)
