Reading out/saving service data

Introduction
In addition to the contents of the diagnostics buffer, the service data contain numerous
additional data points about the internal status of the CPU. If a problem with the CPU should
occur, that cannot otherwise be resolved, please send the service data to our
Service & Support. The service data allow Service & Support to analyze problems that have
occurred rapidly.
Requirement
Service data can be read out via the Web server, via STEP 7 or via the SIMATIC memory
card.
Procedure using the Web server
1. Open a web browser that is suitable for communication with the CPU.
2. Enter the following address in the address bar of the web browser:
3. The service data page will appear on your screen, with a button for saving the service
4. Save the service data locally on your PC/programming device, by clicking "Save
Result: The data are saved in a .dmp file with the following naming convention:
"<Part number> <serial number> <time stamp>.dmp". The file name can be changed.
