2. CHEMICAL REPLACEMENT

When the citric acid pack becomes empty, the display shows "n93".
The citric acid pack needs to be refilled or replaced.

[a] Replacement

1) Take the empty citric acid pack out from the unit as follows.
[KM-40/60/80C(-HC)]
[KM-130C, KM-140C-HC]
Wear protective equipment (e.g. protective glasses) at replacement. When replacing or refilling the citric acid pack, do not grip
the pack too hard. The citric acid solution may spout out and splash into your eyes. In that case, wash your eyes with clean
water.
When replacing or refilling the citric acid pack, do not leave the coupling removed for a long period. The citric acid solution on
the gasket, if dried and crystallized, may degrade the gasket's seal function, resulting in water leakage.
If the citric acid solution splashes onto the cap nut at replacement, wash it with clean water.
If the citric acid solution is found dripping on the unit base at replacement, wipe it off thoroughly to prevent rust.
2) See Steps 9 and 12 of "I. 3. [b] Installation" for the work procedure from citric acid pack replacement and refill to its
reconnection and louver refitting.
3) After replacing the citric acid pack, press and hold the RESET button. The unit enters the user mode and the display switches
to "U04".
Note: When no buttons have been pressed for 20 seconds in the user mode, the display returns to the original state.
Step 1
Remove the louver.
Remove the thumbscrew(s) at the louver bottom by hand.
Hold the louver bottom with both hands, pull it a little towards
you, and lift it up.
Step 2
Remove the pack.
Press the button to unlock the coupling, and then disconnect
the pack assy from the coupling.
