4. Dial the number you wish to store.
S
The number is not transmitted while
you are programming it. You can
H
program a pause into the dialing
sequence, if necessary. Since there is not
a separate pause button on the phone,
the redial button serves this purpose
during programming. Remember, you can
store up to 15 digits and the pause
function counts as 1 of those digits.
Note: Programming in the pause
function will cause the phone to
wait 3 seconds before dialing any
more numbers. For example:
Pressing a memory button that
has 9<P>555-1212
programmed into it will dial the
number 9, then wait 3 seconds
and dial 555-1212. In most
cases, you will not need to use a
pause.
5. Press the "PROGRAM" button again,
and then the appropriate Emergency
Button.

To Dial Programmed
Emergency Number:
1. Pick up the handset and listen for a
dial tone.
2. Press the appropriate Emergency
Button.
3. The number will be dialed
automatically.
Important: The
emergency buttons are
not preprogrammed for
911. You must do this
yourself. Use a preprinted
911 label and paste it
over the button you
program for 911. Use
other write on labels to
identify any numbers you
wish to program into the
two remaining emergency
buttons.
