You can adjust the speaker (or headphones connected to
the headphones connector) volume by pushing the Power
Zoom Lever.

PLAYBACK

LOAD A CASSETTE
Slide OPEN/EJECT in the direction of the arrow, then
swing the cassette cover open until it locks. The
holder opens automatically.
Insert a tape and press "PUSH HERE" to close the
cassette holder.
SELECT OPERATION MODE
Set the Power Switch to "
the Lock Button. The power lamp lights.
PLAY BACK
Press 4/6. The playback picture appears.
STOP PLAYBACK
Press 5.
If Stop mode continues for 5 minutes when the power
supply is a battery pack, the camcorder shuts off
automatically. To turn on again, set the Power Switch to
"OFF", then to " ".
The playback picture can also be viewed in the
viewfinder (with the viewfinder pulled out) or on a
connected TV ( pg. 46, 47). Camcorder operation is
the same as described in this section.
You can also view the playback picture on the LCD
monitor with it flipped over and retracted.
LCD monitor/viewfinder indications:
• When power is supplied from the battery pack: the
" " battery pack remaining power indicator is
displayed on the LCD monitor when it is turned on.
When power is supplied through the DC cord: "
does not appear.
• During Stop mode, none of the indications are
displayed in the viewfinder.
Copyguarded tapes cannot be played back. The screen
displays a blue background.
ADJUST VOLUME
If you want to turn up the volume . . .
.... slide the Power Zoom Lever (VOL.) towards "+".
If you want to turn down the volume . . .
.... slide the Power Zoom Lever (VOL.) towards "–".
