■ Setting a tuning step

The tuning step can be selected for each frequency band in-
dependently, however, the tuning steps, 8.33 kHz and 9 kHz,
only appear when setting the tuning step for the VHF air band
and AM broadcast band, respectively. The following tuning
steps are available for the IC-R20.
• 0.01 kHz • 0.1 kHz
• 1.0 kHz
• 8.33 kHz* • 9.0 kHz* • 10.0 kHz • 12.5 kHz • 15.0 kHz
• 20.0 kHz • 25.0 kHz • 30.0 kHz • 50.0 kHz • 100.0 kHz
* Available for some frequency band only.

■ Setting a frequency

D D Using the dial
q Push [VFO MHz] to select VFO mode, if necessary.
w Select the desired frequency band with [BAND].
• Or, while pushing and holding [BAND], rotate [R-DIAL] to select
the desired frequency band.
e Rotate [R-DIAL] to select the desired frequency.
• The frequency changes according to the preset tuning steps.
See the left section for setting the tuning step.
• Push [VFO MHz] for 1 sec. then rotate [R-DIAL] to change the
frequency in 1 MHz steps, or push for 1 sec. again then rotate
[R-DIAL] to change the frequency in 10 MHz steps. (Each push
for 1 sec. toggles 1 MHz or 10 MHz tuning steps.)
