If your transceiver seems to be malfunctioning, please check
the following points before sending it to a service center.
PROBLEM

• Replace the batteries.
• Check the battery polarity.
• Push [VOL Y] to a suitable level.
• Check the tone using tone scan.
• Replace the batteries.
• Reset the frequency inside the 144/400 MHz amateur
band.
• Check the tone using tone scan.
• Push [FUNC] + [ LOCK] to cancel the function.
(CALL)
• Turn the channel indication mode OFF in set mode.
• Turn beep tones ON in set mode.
• Push [FUNC] + [BAND] to cancel the function.
• Select a suitable operating mode in set mode.
• Turn the expanded set mode ON.
• Enter set mode from appropriate operating mode.
