IMPORTANT!
READ BEFORE RAISING FRONT GLASS :
HEX SCREWS ALONG CLAMSHELL MAY HAVE
LOOSENED DURING SHIPPING!! RETIGHTEN ALL
CLAMSHELL SCREWS BEFORE OPENING GLASS!
The cylinders, which allow the opening and closing of the
glass, have been carefully tested for proper tension. How-
ever, during shipment, the lubricant inside may have settled.
This settling may cause excessive or uneven tension on
the glass - to the point of breakage.
After installing new cylinders, it is advisable to perform
these three easy steps before completely raising the front
glass.
1. Slowly open and close each glass section 6 times, to
a height of 6".
2. Increase the distance to 12", and open and close the
glass 6 more times.
3. Finally, open the glass to it's full extension. This
should release any settled lubricant in the cylinders,
and prevent any stress on the front glass. (1)(3)
RE-Tightening After Initial STARTUP
In addition to verifying that the Allen screws on the lift-up
glass are tightened when the case is delivered, recheck
the Allen screws on the glass ONCE THE CASE IS
IN FULL OPERATION AND BROUGHT TO TEM-
PERATURE.
Temperature changes can affect the size and shape of the
materials involved, and cas cause changes in the secure fit
of the glass and the clamp.

Glass is heavy and
can cause bodily
damage. Check
support cylinders
for periodic
maintenance
Once cylinders are
removed, front glass
will have NO support to
maintain a raised
position. Support the
front glass at all times
until cylinder is
replaced or the glass
is lowered.
Adjustment
Check all of the Allen screws along hinge and retighten if
necessary. Play in this area will affect the weight distribu-
tion of the glass, and the piston(s) may not function prop-
erly.
IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT THE CASE BE
LEVEL FROM FRONT TO BACK AND SIDE
TO SIDE FOR PROPER OPERATION OF
THE HINGES SUPPORTING THE GLASS.
LEVELING THE CASE CORRECTLY WILL
SOLVE OR PREVENT MOST HINGE OP-
ERATION PROBLEMS.
