NOTE:
Do not turn the drive sprocket counterclock-
wise, otherwise the valve system may be
damaged.
6. Install the stator coil, and connect the
charge coil connectors and power bobbin
connectors.
7. Install the Woodruff key, then the fly-
wheel magnet.
CAUTION:
Apply force in the direction of the arrows
shown to prevent the flywheel holder from
slipping off easily.
NOTE:
Apply engine oil to the flywheel magnet nut
before installation.
Flywheel holder: 90890-06522
Flywheel magnet nut:
157 N·m (15.7 kgf·m, 115.8 ft·lb)
8. Install the starter pulley, and then tighten
the bolts to the specified torque.

Universal clutch holder:
90890-04086
Starter pulley bolt:
25 N·m (2.5 kgf·m, 18.4 ft·lb)
9. Install the manual starter.

Removing the power unit

NOTE:
It is recommended to loosen the flywheel
magnet nut before removing the power unit to
improve working efficiency.
1. Remove the manual starter.
2. Disconnect the throttle cables (tiller han-
dle model), or throttle cable and shift
cable (remote control model).
3. Remove the blowby hose and dipstick.
4. Disconnect the fuel hose, engine stop
lanyard switch leads, and cooling water
pilot hose.
