When the

u s i n g the channel 2 V O L T S / D I V control. T h e procedures for s w i t c h i n g the sweep
time a n d setting the trigger point are the same as for channel 1 .

When the M i a a W H W M O D E control i s set at A D D , C H I a n d C H 2 signals w i l l be
combined ( C H 1 + C H 2 ) on the C R T display screen. I f the C H 2 I N V control i s
pressed i n this condition the differential ( C H 1 - C H 2 ) of the two channels w i l l be
displayed. I n order to measure displayed waveforms at the A D D setting, i t i s
necessary that the V O L T S / D I V control settings be the same for both channels.
S w i t c h i n g T r i g g e r S o u r c e
When t h e m a W M M W M O D E control is set at C H I , A L T , C H O P , or A D D a n d the
S O U R C E control i s set at V E R T M O D E , the signal source for the trigger becomes
channel 1. A t t h i s time, i f the C H I signal is too complicated, m a k i n g the trigger
point too difficult,
s w i t c h the S O U R C E control to the C H 2 setting. T h e C H 2
s i g n a l w i l l be simple enough for a stable trigger point setting. H o w e v e r , w h e n
the waveforms of both channels are too complicated, use an e x t e r n a l source to
set the trigger point.
I f signals h a v i n g different frequencies are input to C H I and C H 2 , set the

selector to A L T and S O U R C E selector to V E R T M O D E . Input
signals to C H I a n d C H 2 are used as the trigger s i g n a l sources, w h i c h alternate i n
e v e r y sweeping. T h u s , both signals are triggered.
