If the transmission needs adjusted:

Turn off the engine.

Loosen the two nuts and bolts in the center of
the drive control linkage on the side that needs
adjusted . See Figure 6B.19.

Depress the brake pedal and start the tractor.

Release the brake pedal.

Adjust the length of the drive control linkages
until the brake drum speed is less than 8 RPMs.
See Figure 6B.20.

NOTE: Holding the control link near the center
will help keep the technicians hands clear of the
fan and belt. See Figure 6B.20.
Loosen these
nuts and bolts
20.
Tighten the two nuts and bolts in the center of
the drive control linkage.
21.
Reassemble the tractor.
NOTE: Leave the 1/4"-20x2" bolt threaded in the
steering gearbox.
22.
Perform the wheel alignment by following the
procedures described in the next section of this
manual.
