Battery removal (04_13, 04_14)
•
Make sure that the ignition switch is set to "OFF".
•
Remove the saddle.
•
Loosen and remove screw (1).
•
Undo and remove the two screws (2).
•
Remove the battery locking bracket (3).
•
Disconnect the fall sensor connector.

Undo and remove the screw (4) of the negative terminal (-).
•
Move the negative lead (5) aside.
•
Undo and remove the screw (6) of the positive terminal (+).
•
Move the positive lead (7) aside.
•
Hold the battery (8) firmly and lift it out of its compartment.
•
Put the battery (8) away on a level surface in a cool and dry place.
•
Refit the saddle.
CAUTION
WHEN REFITTING THE BATTERY, MAKE SURE IT IS CORRECTLY POSITIONED

AND POLES ARE NOT INVERTED.
CAUTION
UPON REFITTING, CONNECT THE LEAD TO THE POSITIVE TERMINAL (+) FIRST
AND AFTERWARDS THE LEAD TO THE NEGATIVE TERMINAL (-).
CHECK THAT THE CABLE TERMINALS AND BATTERY LEADS ARE:
- IN GOOD CONDITION (NOT CORRODED OR COVERED BY DEPOSITS);
- COVERED BY NEUTRAL GREASE OR PETROLEUM JELLY.
