7. Install the bed ends. Refer to 4.6 Installing/Removing Bed Ends,
page 22.
8. Connect the crossover cable. Refer to 4.7 Connecting
Crossover Cable, page 23.
9. Assemble and install the drive shaft. Refer to 4.8
Assembling/Installing/Removing Drive Shaft, page 25.
10. Activate the bed functions. Refer to 4.9 Inspecting the Bed, page
27.
Disassembling
1. Lower the head A and foot B sections completely. Refer to 5.1
Operating Bariatric Bed, page 29.
2. Lower the bed to the lowest height.
3. Remove the drive shaft. Refer to 4.8 Assembling/Installing/Re-
moving Drive Shaft, page 25.
4. Disconnect the crossover cable. Refer to 4.7 Connecting
Crossover Cable, page 23.
5. Remove both bed ends. Refer to 4.6 Installing/Removing Bed
Ends, page 22.
Place the bed on a flat surface so that the motor guards
on the bottom of the frame are supporting the bed.
6. Starting with one side of bed, pull the release pin C and pull the
head section so that it starts to separate slightly from the foot
section.
7. On the opposite side of bed, pull the release pin.
8. Separate the head section from the foot section.
