Using the Features

• TYPE/ENG UNITS Button Press to scroll through the ranges and types as detailed below.
See the Operation and Use sections for proper connections. See Specifications for range
limits.
mA SOURCE or 2-WIRE in Source mode. No effect in Read mode.
SOURCE mV(DC), V(DC); READ mV(DC), V(DC), Vhi(DC), Vac(AC).
T/C Enters the selection mode. Use digital potentiometer to select
Type J, T, E, K, N, R, or S.
Resistance or continuity in Read mode. No effect in Source mode.
RTD Enters the selection mode. Use digital potentiometer to select from four types
of Pt 100 , Ni 120, Cu 50
FREQ kHz, Hz, CPM (counts per minute).
PRESSURE PSI, Pa, kPa, MPa, bar, mbar, cm H
mm Hg, torr, kgF/cm
• mA/%/%DP FLOW Button Select mA to display current values in milliamps, % for percent
of 4 to 20 mA span, or %DP for percent of square law for 4 to 20 mA loops. Also used to
calibrate square root extractors and other square law mA inputs. Examples are shown in the
following tables.

Equations for DP%:
• Toggle Switch Flip to select the desired function.
SOURCE The HI, SET, and LO signal outputs will be the same as previously stored. Each
function recalls its stored outputs.
READ Set to READ to display present reading. Set to MAX or MIN to display maximum or
minimum readings.
• STORE/RESET Button Puts the present output value into memory while in the Source mode
or resets the MAX and MIN values while in the Read mode. Also used to save selections
when prompted, such as when selecting thermocouple type.
• Digital Potentiometer (Pot) Turn to set the desired value. Turn slowly to make a gradual
change in the output, or turn faster to make a greater change.
