7 Application guidelines
7.1

Overview: Application guidelines

The purpose of the application guidelines is to give a glance of the
possibilities of the heat pump system.

hydraulic diagrams.

This chapter contains application guidelines for:
▪ Setting up the space heating system
▪ Setting up the domestic hot water tank
▪ Setting up the energy metering
▪ Setting up the power consumption control
▪ Setting up an external temperature sensor
7.2 Setting up the space heating
system – In case of dedicated gas
boiler
The heat pump system supplies leaving water to heat emitters in one
or more rooms.
Because the system offers a wide flexibility to control the
temperature in each room, you need to answer the following
questions first:
▪ How many rooms are heated by the heat pump system?
▪ Which heat emitter types are used in each room and what is their
design leaving water temperature?
Once the space heating requirements are clear, Daikin recommends
to follow the setup guidelines below.
NOTICE
If an external room thermostat is used, the external room
thermostat will control the room frost protection. However,
the room frost protection is only possible if the leaving
water temperature control on the unit's user interface is
turned ON.
INFORMATION
In case an external room thermostat is used and room frost
protection needs to be guaranteed in all conditions, then
you have to set auto emergency [A.6.C] to 1.
