Remove and Replace the Optical Engine

The optical engine produces the projected image. It fastens to the bottom case and produces the image
by directing focused light from the lamp module through the color wheel and onto the Digital Micromirror
Device (DMD). The formatter ECA, located directly behind the optical engine, performs final signal
processing before the image information is delivered to the DMD. The formatter ECA connects to the
controller ECA with three flexible ribbon cables.
A new optical engine includes a color wheel, color wheel sensor ECA and projection lens.
