Maintenance
It is best to empty the dust container after each vacuuming session.
ATTENTION:
Switch off the appliance before emptying the dust container. This will prevent dust from damaging the
appliance.
1. If not already done, take the handheld cleaner out of its receptacle, ZChapter 4.3, "Using the appliance as
a handheld".
2. Hold the handheld with the dust container pointing downwards so that no dust will fall out during opening.
3. Push the release catch (fig. 14/a) on the dust container and twist the container off the motor unit (fig. 14/b).
4. Hold the dust container deeply into a dustbin.
5. First remove the motor protection filter and then the permanent filter from the dust container (fig. 15).
6. Empty the dust container into the dustbin.
NOTE:
You can dispose of the contents of the dust container with the normal domestic waste as long as it does not
contain any substances not permitted for domestic waste.
7. Remove any dust remaining in the dust container by hand.
8. If this is not sufficient wipe the insides of the dust container clean with a slightly damp cloth.
WARNING:
Danger of electric shock! Never clean the dust container (fig. 16/A), let alone the motor unit (fig. 16/B), with

adapter with wet hands.

Also, never use cleansers or brushes with hard bristles to clean the appliance.
