Painted Aluminum Wheel
Maintenance
Refer to
Saf ety Precautions
(Models equipped with aluminum wheels)
Aluminum may corrode from contact with
dirt, mud, or road salt. Clean the wheels
after riding through any of these
substances. Use a wet sponge and mild
detergent. Avoid stiff brushes, steel wool,
or cleaners containing abrasives or
chemical compounds.
After washing, rinse with plenty of water
and dry with a clean cloth.
If the paint is chipped, apply touch-up
paint.

Appearance Care
Maintenance for Parts Soiled by
Exhaust Gas
Refer to

Exhaust gas may soil the rear wheel, the
final gear cover or the turn signals etc.
Use a mild detergent or a genuine cleaner.
Avoid cleaners containing chemical
compounds or solvents which could
damage the coated or chrome-plated
surfaces.
